Having problems with your 2003 Land Rover Discovery ?

2003 head lamp assembly

\015 I just bought an '03 Disco. My driver side headlamp was out so i took out the assembly to replace it. The bulb still looked good but I swapped it anyway and i worked fine. Later that night I walked in front of the Disco and the new bulb was out too. I can only guess that it is the wiring that is bad. I also have other indicator bulbs that are out and when I put the right turn indicator on my trailer directional dashlight comes on. Any help here.... ?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 19-07-2021

Answers :

Did you touch the glass on the new headlamp bulb?
Your sweat from your fingers will cause the bulb to blow because halogen lights heat up really quickly.
Check the earth(negative) wires around the rear lights and also check the socket for your trailer.
Slight corrosion will cause all sorts of problems.
It`s always worth checking earth connections just to make sure you can rule that problem out in the future if a bulb blows.
Hope you understand me. If not I will try to make it a bit simpler.
My wife says I can fix computers, cars and washing machines but can`t work a vacuum cleaner round the house.
