Having problems with your 2003 Mazda Tribute ?

I get a ticking noise from the front of the car then when breaking there is a shuddering from front near side wheel mazda tribute 2.0

First i would check the brake pads and rotors.
\015\012the rotors could be warped causing ticking noise and shuddering from the the wheels.

\015\012Worst case scenerio you might have bad tie rod ends causing the wheel to shudder while braking.

\015\012To check the tie rod ends place the front wheels in the air off the ground. and shake the tires from side to side while having an assitant hold the tie rod end.
\015\012You should feel nothing coming from the tie rods.
\015\012if they are bad you will feel them tick as you move the tire from side to side.

\015\012then check your brake pads they should be thick and the rotors should look like a mirror with NO pits or burn marks in it.some rust on the outter edges is normal. but before changing try calculating the mileage you have went on the brakes.
