Having problems with your 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class ?

2003 C180 won't change up

\015 I have a C180 Kompressor 2003. I find that when taking off from stationary, occasionally the gearbox won't change up but it stays in low gear and revs high unless you bump the lever up yourself or take it out into neutral. I have had it back to Mercedes several times (they tried testing the gearbox oil and replacing a upper crankcase vent hose split/cracked near cyl head which they had to replace with a modified vent hose since original was taken off shelf by Mercedes to be redesigned due to fault) and the last time they decided to erase the computer and set it back to factory and required that I drive it for at least 500k so that 'the gearbox will get used to your style of driving' (in other words, as a second hand car, it was 'used' to the previous owners style of driving). In each case they affirmed that the 'adaption data' was perfectly normal.\015\012Anyway, did all that (inconvenient drive up the coast) and it is still doing the same thing occasionally.\015\012Any ideas???\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 14-01-2019
