Having problems with your 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport ?

How do I remove the intake manifold on my 03 montero sport 3.0 ltr? I have to change the plugs and need access. Also will I need to get a new gasket to re-install the intake? I plan on changing the plugs, wires and pcv valve. Is there anything else I should change with the intake off?

Answers :

That is all the basic stuff unless you feel you need to change injectors or knock sensor which probably isn't necessary. The intake has about 8 bolts that you can remove after all vacuum lines are disconected. You dont need to remove the intake to replace spark plugs, I have a montero LS and never removed the intake to change them, just find a swivel joint and a ratchet to get them out.
