Having problems with your 2003 Nissan Murano ?

2003 Nissan Murano IPDM must be replaced.

\015 The wiring for the "fuel pump fuse" burnt out causing the entire unit to be replaced at a part cost of $700. My fuel pump and sender unit needs to be replaced as well. Including $640 in labor and balance in parts, Nissan dealer wants $2000 to put my Murano back on the road. Can anyone rebuild or repair my IPDM so I don't have to by a new one because a few wires burnt out? What a waste of money. I spoke to a Nissan Tech Support which informed that the IPDM design is very poor. It does not allow for dealer service repair. Any damage to an IDPM requires replacement. Seems like a scam to me. Why else replace the entire unit due to two burnt wires?\012\012I've been repairing rotary aircraft since 1984. I understand as well as the next mechanic that parts fatigue and require replacement; however, more thought could be put into the production design of the expensive replacement of parts to alleviate unnecessary spendy repairs.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 15-07-2019
