Having problems with your 2003 Pontiac Grand Am ?

On a 2003 grand am 3.4 v6 changing the thermostat looks difficult. the exhaust runs right next to the housing so you can't get the bottom bolt out. do you have to take of the exhaust?

Answers :

No u dont if u get some 1/4 inch extensions and wobbles u can get the lower bolt out with a bit of a fight due to heat shield and tight spaces etc. but it will come out
