Having problems with your 2003 Pontiac Sunfire ?

I have two problems with my 2003 Sunfire: 1) the rear driver side blinker light keeps blowing out. I've replaced the bulb 4 times in two weeks. My second problem is that every 4 weeks, my car will cut off on me while driving. I can immediately start it back up but it will cut off a few more times. Then out of nowhere it will drive as if nothing is wrong with it. I do have gas in the car and I keep the oil changes completed. I have taken it to several places that use that handheld tester

Make sure the bulb can't shake at all, in my experience that's the biggest cause of frequent tail light bulb failures. Does the exhaust come out under that bulb? If it's loud, that could fatigue the filament too. Stiff suspension can also be hard on bulbs, but be sure the bulb and the fixture don't allow any movement before anything else.

The thing with it stopping on you and instantly restarting/stopping and then running good could be something like water in the fuel building up and every month or so bubbling through. Bad fuel could be the problem, but it could also be condensation. Keeping the tank full may help if the problem is water in the fuel (as the air temperature changes the tank also changes temperature, as does the air in the tank. When it gets warmer it expands, and when it cools the air contracts so the tank is always 'breathing'. If it's full little air can get in, thus little moisture can be deposited from the air in the tank)

It could also be electrical, but if it were ordinary electrical such as a loose wire or a momentary short it'd happen when you hit a bump or turned a corner or something, there would be an obvious cause and effect. I wonder if you have a lot of things on your keychain, a heavy keychain can do strange things to the switch mechanism and it can also be affected by things like your clothing rubbing it- this would make cause and effect less noticeable.
