Having problems with your 2003 Saturn ION ?

I changed the belt to my 03 ion and now the car sounds. Like it is struggling to turn over almost as if the tension pulley is to tight and won't let the car crank what should. I try next

Did you drive it after changing the belt? If so, it might not be tight enough ( not tight enough to run the alternator to charge the battery) or it is routed improperly. I've never seen an engine that couldn't crank because the belt was too tight.
