Having problems with your 2003 Saturn VUE ?

My " service engine soon" light kicked on.

\015 A tech checked it for me and said a bad cam sensor was the code. He reset it and of course it has gone off again. I recently had the right front wheel hub assembly replaced which i'm sure is unrelated. The car drives well. Any ideas? Shoulld i get this fixed or can I just keep driving it? Can you tell me what this cam sensor is indicative of?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 26-07-2021

Answers :

The cam sensor is a magnetic ring that senses what position of 360* it is at. It is responsible for telling the computer when and which fuel injector to fire. Being that the care is running fine this indicates that there is an intermittent fault at work. I would have it checked by a tech as I am one. I would also tell the tech that it is an intermittent problem, basically he will figure it out if you describe it the way you told me. It is going to come down to an engine diag. The price veries from shop to shop about 150 to 200,
this price does not include parts or labor.
