Having problems with your 2003 Toyota Corolla ?

My toyota corolla engine is over heating when i travel for small distances,and temperature indicator showing half of the meter.fan is working properly and coolant also replaced recently,but problem is same,always getting too much heat,please let me know the exact cause of problem and solution.thankyou
