Rear differential leaking on 2003 Toyota Matrix AWD

\015 I got the oil changed today and the tech underneath the car said the ''rear differential fluid was leaking''. That was basically it. They aren't exactly mechanics, so they couldn't tell me much about it. Is this expensive? Does it include a lot of work?\015\012Thanks!\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 01-06-2020

Answers :

No, not expensive.....no, not a lot of work.
\015\012Just make sure you have enough differential fluid to replentish what you drain out. All you need is a seal replacement if it is leaking from the casing....it is in the rear of your car, underneath....in between the tires....looks like a round, metal case. Look to see if it is leaking from around the edges.
1st u must ID exactly what the leak it, until then it is just a guess.
