Having problems with your 2003 Volkswagen Beetle TDI ?

The 2003 VW headlight assembly has a twinkie (e.g. very poorly designed) release lever that breaks when one attempts to release the assembly to replace a bulb. QUESTION: what do you use to get the whole headlight assembly out once the twinkie release lever is broken. I have a 5 lb. hammer and a wrecking bar ready to proceed.

Answers :

Most headlight assemblys use 2 or 3 screws as well as your ''twinkie''.if a piece of the lock lever is still in there, remove the screws & be prepared to wiggle it some.cursing at it couldn't hurt.
