If you happen to have a scanner you may use that to get the error codes to help identify the issue.

Observe if after hitting the said rev or speed check if the engine would seem to die on you. It may be related to the delivery of the fuel. Check first the fuel filters since this is a cheap fix. Observe if there is some excess noise or squeal near the fuel tank. IT could be the fuel pump. It may be going bad and fuel delivery may be poor. You may also want to check leaks, just in case.

Check also the cables for the high tension wire. You may not be firing on all cylinders resulting in loss if power. Check if all are firing, you can do that by pulling out each of the high tension wire at the end of the spark and see if there are sparks.

This may also be caused by a bad ECU.
