I have heard replacing core costs over $1000.00. Additionally, I recently hit a deer and caused major damage - heat problem got worse after this - can I try to show insurance co. that deer hit casued or exacerbated problem?

Answers :

I have never heard of a heater core replacement costing that much but I usually replace them myself. As far as the damage from hitting the animal it could have caused the problem with the heater core but getting the insurance company to pay might be hard to do, especially if they have already repaired everything else. It is worth a try though and never hurts to ask!
