Having problems with your 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier ?

Why would there be oil in my filter hose - 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier

Answers :

If you have oil in the hose for the air filter, the engine crankcase is letting oil vapors out thru the intake hose, instead of pulling fresh air into the crankcase thru the hose. The most common reasons are a faulty PCV system or blow-by from weak cylinder rings.
The crankcase has too much pressure.
