Three things will cause this situation, not counting touching the bulb, first a bad plug in connector, then there is moister getting in the lamp housing, and then there is sometimes a alternator over charging.Check the alternator,it should be reading 13.65 volts,to 14.25 volts, measured at the battery, with the headlights on,and the ac on high blower motor setting. If the voltage is higher than this, replace the alternator. Now the alternator can also be charging ,in ac voltage, this is rare, but I have seen it a good bit.Have the shop, check for ac voltage. If it is putting out ac voltage, then the battery would need to be changed also, cause it would contain ac voltage,it may not be much, but it does not take much, alternators are designed to create ac voltage, but a diode bridge has been installed to direct the voltage one way, directional voltage,dc.Ac voltage is alternating voltage, back ,and forth, instead of one direction,dc.I hope this is helpful,if so,please let us know, thank you.
\015\012When you replace the headlight in any car you should never touch the actual bulb. The oil from your hands causes it to heat up at a different rate and eventually blow the bulb. When changing it touch only the metal base of the bulb. Try OEM bulbs next time.
