Having problems with your 2004 Chevrolet Suburban ?

What do you recommend at 100k? When do you change the coolant hose and main belt?

Answers :

Depending on the fluid colour and smells from the differentials and transfer case to the transmission, generally those get flushed every 50000kms. The coolant hoses are always a good thing to change after a few years specially if they start to feel spongy and the drive belt/serpentine belt and a/c belt should be changed if they are showing signs of wear, the teeth on the belt should not have cracks closer than a 1/8 inch apart.
Coolant hoses will last a long time if coolant was changed regularly.Check hose for dry rot and hairline cracks.if any seen you must change. The main belt called a serpentine belt is good for a 100k but i would change that even before 100k they usally start squeling when there worn but if this brakes you truck will shut down.At 100k if nothing has been changed like spark plugs, coolant, trans oil,pcv valve, fuel filter and if 4 wheel drive you should change transfer case oil and front and rear differentials oil.that about covers it.
