Having problems with your 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer ?

Blower Motor will not work when resister is installed.

\015 Hi there, I have a Chev Trailblazer 2005. My blower motor stopped working yesterday.\012\012I ended up replacing the resistor for the blower motor. I tested it before screwing the resistor back in place. The motor was blowing just fine. However, all the air was coming out where the resistor is supposed to be. So I thought everything was okay, I screwed the resistor back in place, put everything back together again. Tested it out without success. Nothing worked on any of the fan settings.\012\012I took everything back apart again, noticed it was working again. While it was running I placed the resistor back in the location it belongs. The fan stopped working after a couple of seconds. No air ever came out of the vents. I took the resistor back out of it's home and the fan kicked back in. I checked if it's lose wires but all is okay on that front.\012\012Any suggestions? Thanks in advanced.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 14-09-2020

Answers :

Check the contact connection on the connector, many times these overheat and melt the surrounding plastic. You may need to replace the connector wire harness.
