Having problems with your 2004 Chevrolet Venture Passanger ?

Not getting voltage to my fuel pump. Sugar was dumped into my neice's fuel tank. She took it to a shop and they removed the tank and washed it out. They also said the fuel pump was bad, and for $700 they would fix it. She doesn't have that kind of money. I removed the fuel pump and bench tested it, and it worked. As I troubleshot the problem I found that there wasn't any voltage going to the pump. The fuse and relay look good.

Answers :

Check the oil pressure switch too for the primes the pump when it first starts. the third wire is for the fuel pump and runs only till the engines oil pressure reaches the normal psi. then the relay takes over
It also goes through egnition switch u may have to just keep following wires till u find it. did the fuse box have power for it you did know the key has to be in the on position didnt you.
