Having problems with your 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan ?

I'm trying to replace the rear hatch pistons of a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan. I took the old ones off without a hitch: however, I'm having trouble putting the new ones on. When I fasten one end on the hatch I can't get the the other end fastened. The other end is stripping the grooves in the vehicle. I can't get the right angle upon the bolt entering the grooves.

Answers :

The hatch pistons should simply "Snap" into place. If you removed the bolt from the body, you took too much stuff off of the car. Take the bolt (with the ball on the end) out of the lift pistons and screw them back into the body. Make sure the clips on the pistons are in place, then simply snap the pistons onto the ball.
Then dont screw in they clip over the end of the screw heads ,their is a clip on the ends of the bars remove the clip then put the screw inm and then push it over the round head
