Having problems with your 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 ?

Looses vacumm im having the same problem im loosing vacumm intermittently and the vehicle loose s power feels like its not going to shift and or it shifts very late when your stabbing the throttle but if you drive it normal it shifts fine but the truck feels like its dropping cylinders on and off ive been able to pinpoint it to a vacumm problem that coes and go sometime have 20 lbs of vac sometimes have 8 lbs. runs great when it has 20 lbs nis it the valve train or ?????

Check for a restricted exhaust possibly bad converter? first? let your local mechanic drive it compression test and ecm scan and monotir while driving would be the next step ? hope this helps repost let me know what you find
