Having problems with your 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 ?

How do I completely drain cooling system in 2004 ram 1500? Drained radiator, only gallon and a half came out. If I pull lower radiator hose will this do it? Or is there another drain plug?

Answers :

What you have done has been that way for a half century
only now the radiators hold less

Just drain the radiator every 3 years & refill

You can pull the hose if your looking for trouble
but I wouldn't,the coolant in the block isn't coming out

Why is all that new to you?

Same with a transmission, drop pan ,clean & replace

If you flush tehm your in for clogged solenoids, just warm up
and do again

I used to fill with water & then drain again, now I don't, as
then you got to much trapped water as you have old coolant
