Replacing struts on 2004 Ford Explorer

\015 My mechanic could not figure out how to replace the rear struts on my Explorer. Is this something that must be done at the dealership? i have a 2002 and im trying to get the rear struts off i took out all the bolts the three on top and the one on the bottom and it will not pop out. i have tried everything and it wont come out. what can i do for this.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 30-03-2020

Answers :

WARNING: Unbolting a strut without using a compressor can injure or kill you. Be careful and use the correct tools.
Unbolt the struts at the top and bottom, and remove. Should take about an hour per side. You may need to get a bigger pry bar, but you are on the right track.
