Having problems with your 2004 Ford Explorer ?

I changed the altinater on a 2004 ford explorer 4.o and I dont know how to make the tensioner sdjust to get the belt back on

Insert a 1/2 rachet into the slot in the middle of the tensioning wheel. Either try rotating clockwise or counter clock wise then slip the belt over that wheel. Make sure you have the correct routing for the belt. Sometimes this diagram is on a placard on or near the radiator.
