Having problems with your 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac ?

2004 sport trac transmission noise

\015 Upon start up and only when engine is cold I have a clicking sound which seems to come from the transmission. the noise is easest heard standing by the drivers door. seems to originate from under the vehicle near the rear part of the wheel well and door. the noise almost like a old style british made electric fuel pump priming itself.\015\012\015\012I some times hear this noise when at 100 kmph. one ford dealer told me its your pullys which one thye did not say and their was no guarantee as to the repair. one ford dealer told me is was a part in the transmission. but both were vague as to what was this problem.\015\012\015\012the one dealer when they did my 100,000 kilometer check up left my fuel line loose and I almost burned up my truck. so much for professionalism I have not returned to that dealer since.\015\012\015\012has any one had a similar problem. I use the truck for pleasure use only and drive extremely carefully.\015\012\015\012One remaining bit of information, last summer 08, I was rear ended by a jeep wagoneer. my truck recieved $13,000 worth of damage and our insurance company repaired it, they say to industry standards including replacing part of the frame on the truck. However in fairness to them this noise was there although less in noise volumn than today.\015\012\015\012any help greatly appreciated.
