Having problems with your 2004 Ford F150 ?

04 F150 Turned the key on, lights on dash come on, then the ''wrench'' light, battery light and check engine light stay on. There is also a message to check gauges. Tried the owner's manual. Coolant is not hot because it's been sitting overnight, oil pressure won't register because it won't start and added some gas just in case the fuel gauge wasn't working. Any suggestions??

Answers :

Sound like weak battery.take a digital voltmeter check battery voltage it should be 12.5 volts.if not.have battery checked.if all is good.sound like alternator is not charging battery.have alternator checked out.besure to turn off radio before disconnecting battery negative cable.to keep from losing radio playing code.
Take the battery out and get it inspected. if you have an 04 then the battery has reached its age limit. Plus if its seasonally colder there thats when batteries usually pop out
