Having problems with your 2004 Honda Accord ?

Will experienced Honda owners share best practices with a young family driving a 2004 Accord?

\015 1. What is the recommended tire pressure when outside temps are 80-100? 2. What brand/grade of oil is best and what's the optimal schedule for oil and filter replacement? 3. Is there a big, important, and expensive maintenance coming up, such as timing chain (?)? 4. Do you have a "lesson learned" to share? I'm asking on behalf of my 22-year-old niece and hubby who drive with their 6-month-old son. It was my parents' car and has about 45,000 miles on it. I drive a 2000 Accord SE, my 3rd Honda.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 23-09-2019

Answers :

Tire-Go by the label on the door jam on the driver's door
Oil-Follow the manufacturer's recommendation in the owner's manual
Maintenance-Today's cars usually come with a maintenance schedule. Follow the proper maintenance for the mileage your car currently has on it.
If that puppy has only 45,000 miles on it, the timing chain shouldn't have to be replaced until it's between 120,000 and 150,000 miles.
