Having problems with your 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee ?

Jeep locks, windows, and overhead information panel not working

\015 Windows, door locks and information panel stopped working when the driver door was open all the way. It would work again when the door was shut. Now none of it works whether the door is shut or open. I tried to remove the door panel to check for bad connections or pinched wires but found nothing. There is a wire encasement hose that goes between the door and the body which leads to the fuse panel just above the break pedal. I wasn't able to detach this hose-like encasement from the door for inspection. Inside the Jeep behind the fuse panel, there are some connectors that aren't connected (i suspect these are left over wires from a radio installation). I don't know what to look for. Right now the rooftop instrument panel does work, the doors and windows do not lock or roll up or down. The interior lights stayed on too, so I disconnected the battery terminal for a temp fix, which turned out to be a somewhat permanent fix since that issue hasn't come up again.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-02-2019
