Having problems with your 2004 Jeep Liberty ?

I couldn't start my jeep liberty '04 this morning. Turned the ignition but all i heard was loud clicking noises, radio and lights could turn on, but couldn't start engine. Thought i had to boost up the battery to find out out if it was either the battery or the alternator. Left the jeep for 2 hours and tried to start it again, the clicking went on for 1 sec and then the engine started!! So now there is no problem. What do you think happened? Thank you

Answers :

You either have a battery that has come to its final end or you have a bad connection at the battery posts or chassis ground. I'm not sure of the age of your current battery, but 5 yrs is about the most you can expect (with a quality battery of course). You can have the battery load tested at an auto supply chain for noting if they offer this service. Just a thought.
