Having problems with your 2004 Kia Optima ?

Hesitates upon acceleration & will not maintain a steady speed

\015 I have a 2004 Kia Optima LX with about 87,000 miles. When I am driving over 15 mph, my car will hesitate and then will accelerate until I let up on the throttle, then it will do the same thing again. I have replaced the throttle position sensor twice since May 2008. the last time was February 2009. What is the difference between what the input/output sensors control & what the throttle position sensor controls? This is the only issue I have with my car and would like to get it resolved. Do you know of any other part that could cause the throttle position sensor to go bad? Please let me know if you require more information from me. Thanks in advance!\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 20-09-2021

Answers :

I had found a problem with a kia rio. it was saying tps sensor but after a couple of hours and alot of cursing it turned out to be the maf mass air flow sensor. these are expensive so i suggest that you take it to a kia dealer to have it tested or find someone who can do it for alot cheaper
