Having problems with your 2004 Kia Optima ?

Headlight change Two questions: 1. I bought my 2004 KIA Optima used & have no idea if the timing chain has been changed. Mileage is 74,000 mi. Should I change it just in case? 2. How do you change the headlight?

Answers :

He is right you do have a belt that works the timing chain that is located in the block attached to the cam. but all cars have timing chains in the block so you may want to look into that with the dealership or ask around if it would be a good idea to replace it. I know neons need them but i think Kias may also need it also.

And Q 2 is there a wiring harness on the back of the light assembly Cus with the new cars they just need to replace the bulb in side the light housing and if thats the case then you need the get the light bulb for your car and then just twist out the harness part it should be a black area with wires going into it and then twist it to get it out.
