Having problems with your 2004 Kia Rio ?

Tips for changing the head gasket on a 2004 Kia Rio, I heard that I had to use new bolts and that 2 were shorter than the others but I am confused about the tightening of the bolts to 36ft/lbs and then loosening them off again and then tightening them to 18ft/lbs plus a 1/4 turn tighterwhat is the point?

Answers :

You have to do it this way so that the bolts dont lift or back out of the head and then the new gasket will blow the gasket again as if you never did the job.
\015\012You come this far finish by doing the job RIGHT you will be proud.
\015\012The old blots can not be reused becaused they already have been torqued (stretched) and they Won't work, they will never tighten to specs
