Just Replaced Front Struts.. Should I do Rear as Well?
\015 Of course its a good idea if your going to do one side do the other but im wondering if I should do my rear struts as well. It would save me the labour and they dont seem to need to be replaced. (They don't bounce very much when I push them down) I already have the parts, but if I can get another 60km out of them that would be good. I'm currently at 105kmThe front struts needed to be done bad, but Oldsmobiles are notorious for having bad front ends (break pads rotors wheel bearings etc. ) It doesn't seem that I would need to do them, but I would much rather do them now )especially since I have the parts on sale) than in the dead of winter.Any tests, or advice would be appreciated!!\015
Replacing the rears is only necessary if they fail the test. Push aggressivly down on the right rear fender and release, the car should rise up and go down then stop. Repeat for the leftside. If either fails replace both. If its peace of mind you want go ahead and have them replaced, this will improve the overall handling and provide a smoother ride.
