Ticking noise when motor is running - 2004 Oldsmobile Alero

Answers :

Some noise is normal with this engine and is not an indication of any problem in the valve train parts. This noise is coming from the roller camshaft followers and there are many GM service letters about it. If you replaced all the parts you might lessen the noise slightly, but is it worth it on this old of a vehicle?
