The security would not turn off all the electrical in the vehicle. The battery cables are corroded or filmed over with a black or grey film. The battery ends is what I am speaking of,and look at the battery post also where the cables go.Clean them very shiny, and reconnect the cables. If the computer in the vehicle looses memory, you may have to get the computer reflashed at the dealer,so removing the cables, can make that happen, but chances are the memory is already erased, because of the voltage drop.If the cable ends have been cleaned, and the battery post, and still no power, check the battery with a volt meter,to see how many volts are in the battery. If there are not any volts,or really low voltage like 3 or 4 volts this would be as good as a dead battery. It should have 12 volts and a little extra.I do believe the battery holds the problem,no voltage to the vehicle.I hope this is helpful, and if so,please let us know, thank you.
Hello. You could have done that. Did the car start after you reinserted the key? do you have the manual for the car? Did you purchase from a dealership? If so, I would definitely call them. good luck.
