Impreza 1997 headlight pigtail

\015 The mechanic said he needed to replace the pigtail to fix my headlamp.\015\012The wires are burnt out and he needs to remove the battery to do it.\015\012\015\012Question: \302\240where does this pigtail unit connect to? \302\240Does it connect to a plug of some sort--- so that I can easily connect it? \302\240or is connecting it more difficult and thus I'll need to pay the mechanic?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 01-06-2020

Answers :

The pigtail is wired into the electrical system off the car an it actually holds the headlight bulb in. you could do this your self providing you know a little about soldering wires and sealing them back up. because you have to cut the old pigtails off and rewire a new one in. its not that hard but you have to make sure that you heat shrink the wires when you are done so you dont get any other electrical problems. Use your own judgment on this if you want to do it or if you want to have it done Hope i provided you with the insight you were looking for on this subject.
