Suzuki 2004 XL7 airbag light on and clock flashes

\015 Had a problem for a year now where the airbag light stays on and the clock flashes, cannot reset the time. Seems that there are multiple owners with the same problem. Are there any solutions without having to spend $1,000 ??\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 26-09-2022

My suggestion is to take the vehicle to the franchised Dealer where they will have the proper test equipment to identify the fault. I understand your concern about keeping the costs down and so what I’d do is telephone at least two Suzuki Dealers and ask them for a cost to diagnose the problem – you might wish to say to them that you have a fixed budget of say $100. At least this way you can be told what the problem is and what the rectification cost is likely to be. At that point you can choose to either proceed with the work or not. Hope this helps, Scottech
It is the ECM module that has gone bad. This is covered by Suzuki 8yrs. or 80,000 miles. Check in your owners manual or call dealer. They won't be happy you are awear of this but will replace it at no charge if you fall in the mileage and years. Good Luck!
