Clicking noise, 2004 Toyota 5-speed

\015 When driving 35 mph or more a clicking noise occurs. It kinda sounds like a card clicking on bicycle spokes, but does it when accelerating or slowing down. I can push in the clutch or put it in neutral and it quits.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 19-11-2018

Answers :

Check your CV joints - usually you'll hear them clicking the most when you turn a corner while pressing on the gas, but they can make noise like that while you're driving straight. Given that it's most prominent above 35mph, I'm not sure that this is going to be the issue, but it's worth checking - if it is a CV joint, and it breaks, your car will coast to a stop and you won't be going anywhere except on the back of a flatbed.
