Having problems with your 2005 Acura TL ?

My 05 TL was slipping yesterday...and 20 min after trying to get to the garage as it was getting worst ..it actually stop .i couldn't go foward or back up..nothing ....it's 41/2 years old since the first purchase with 86,000km am praying that it's on the warranty....do u think i need a transmission???

Just about every manufacturer has problems with a great number of things including transmissions. As it is not considered a safety related failure id does not necessarily involve any recall unless voluntary by the mfg. There are numerous components inside a transmission...many times the early failure of even something like a small bearing or seal can cause the entire unit to fail. If it is covered by warranty, try to push for a "certa" (factory replacement) if possible to avoid having a repeat failure if it happens to involve something such as a porous case which is often difficult to find.

They do have lots problem w trans and if millege under 120k should be cover under waranty
