Procedure for replacing the rear rotors and pads on a 2005 Buick Lacrosse

Answers :

Remove the tire and there will be to bolts holding the calipers on, once you remove the two bolts the caliper will slide off, you will move it to the side out of the way and you will now pull off the rotor, you may have to give it a tap or two to free it but it should come off fairly easy, make sure you have the same new size as the old one and just slide it on. The next thing will be is to pull off the old brake pads, they will pop out. The next step is to return the piston to the in position, by using a C clamp and one of the old pads, place it over the piston and turn the c clamp until the piston is back into the housing, now just snap the new pads into the caliper and place the caliper back on the rotor and secure the two bolts. The replacing of brake rotors and pads is a really simple task and if all goes well it take about 10-20 minutes per wheel.
