Having problems with your 2005 Chevrolet Malibu ?

My wife was driving on a city street and it just died like you shut off the switch. Does it have a fuel cutoff switch and if so where is it located? She was on a snowy street because of a blizzard. The car turns over, but won't start.

Hello there:
If your vehical does have a fuel cut off switch it would be located in the trunk on the drivers side by the tail light
but this would bot engage unless it is tripped from a accident or somethng was electronically wrong with the vehical
Having said that i would have to say that it sounds like your fuel pump may have given out or your fuel filter is clogged or you might have water in the fuel tank from the cold weather or you got a load of bad fuel so i would start by having the fuel system checked out and then have the fuses and the wiring for the fuel system checked outto see if there is a loose wire for the fuel pump or fuel ignitoin system ok
Hope this is very help full for you
Best regards MIchael
