Having problems with your 2005 Chevrolet Uplander ?

I removed the retainer pin and the screw but it still does not pull away from the car like something else is holding it?

Yes, there is a ball socket fastener that holds the outside off the light to the vehicle fram. My headlight took considerable force to pull the ball out of the socket. I had to wiggle my light assembly up and down and left and right to work it out. The ball is metal and on the light assembly. The socket is plastic and on the on the vehicle frame near the fender panel.
\012If you need pictures, I am in the process of changing their format to fit this site's size restiction. Let me know if you are able to get your light loose.
\012Also, the head light bulbs have a very tight detent as you rotate them to get them out. It takes some force, but they will rotate out just light the other sockets do.
\012Let me know if this helps or not.
