Having problems with your 2005 Chrysler 300 ?

Stuck in first gear.

\015 When I drive more than 50 km/hr, the RPM starts to get really high-5000 RPM at 50 km/hr. It seems like I am stuck in first gear. What's the problem?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 10-12-2018

Answers :

Sounds like transmission may be in "Limp Mode" which occurs when problem detected in transmission, to allow you to get to repair shop and save transmission at same time. Have it diagnosed at dealer or transmission shop & don't drive it any more than needed until then. Transmission replacement gets very expensive so get it in to shop a.s.a.p. so it doesn't get to that extent, and it may turn out to be a faulty sensor or something minor.
