Having problems with your 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 ?

I want to clean the throttle body on my 2005 dodge ram 1500. It has stalled when idling, but will turn back on with no problem.I don't know how to take the secondary filter off. I removed 2 bolts, but dont know how to remove the one front center. Also Could it be my Idle Speed Sensor. I have no check engine light. thanks, patty

Answers :

To clean the throttle body disconnect the air tube running form the air box to throttle body and use Carbon cleaner. Read direction on can. Also clean EGR valve since this does control idle if it is carbon up it will cause the small valve on the inside to stick open causing rough idle and or stalling out at idle use the same cleaner.
The box that lays on top of the body is held down with two bolts....one on each side. the front of the box is in a rubber grommet. Just pull it up hard. Dont forget to loosen the screw from the air box.
\015\012Just take some gumout nd spray it into the body. Make sure you open the butterfly and spray in there too. Wipe with w rag to get the carbin out. Start the motor and raise the idle and spray some more. the motor will stall but dont worry.
