Having problems with your 2005 Ford Escape ?

Winding noise or vaccum leak from front of motor.

\015 I recently purchased an 05 Ford Escape and have what sounds like the same problem. Happens while accelerating at low speed between 20-40mph. Also happens when the car is turned on & off. It doesn't seem to affect overall performance but it a high pitched noise coming from front drivers side motor. I also noticed the RPM needle never goes down to the 0 position (12 RPM) when the car is turned off. Any clues would be most appreciated. Thanks\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 20-09-2021

Answers :

Clue would be to check that insterment panel to make sure the wire is not causeing this noise. As you said the RPM guage stays at 12, Could you check this for us before assuming other problems because on the left side you should not hear this much noise it would be a concern if it was on the right side of the car!!
