Having problems with your 2005 Ford Escape ?

My 2005 ford escape seems to have a heat issue. When the heat is turned on at it's hottest, it's hot, however when tuned down to the midway point, it cools down quite a bit, what may be the issue ?

Ha i checked that on mine and I can see the dial moving the door problem is i can leave the blower off for a while and it will spit out heat but then goes cold. also i checked the heater core to make sure it was passing enough fluid and it is but still will not blow constant warm air... if it helps anyone i was told by a mechanic to put it on ramps and then start it and fill it that way because the heater core sits higher than the top hose on the radiator... but who knows i still don't have constant heat....
I assume the vent door is loose or broken, and when it is set, maybe half way on the dial, the door moves to far closed. It is either that,or the control is bad.
