Having problems with your 2005 Ford Mustang ?

What would happen if diesel fuel was put into my 2005 ford mustang gt? I'm not sure if that happened or not but it was slow to start and 2-3 miles from the gas station everything started shutting down, ie, traction control, airbag, radio, then lost all power and wouldn't start again. It makes that clicking sound like the battery is dead, so it may not be a fuel problem but an alternator/battery instead.

The only thing that would cause that would be power or electric problem. If there indeed was diesel put in it it would have run like **** and smoked badly right away after it burned the fuel from the fuel lines. Cause diesel is heavier than gas it would pump directly into the engine causing it to ran badly within a couple f minutes. So it sounds like your batter has died, My reasoning is the alt. light has not been on and the normal life of the dealer battery is 3 to 5 years so try to jump star it if it runs ok with the cables on that's your problem any Auto parts store will test it for you for free. Hope this helps.
It sounds as if you alternator is bad also have the battery tested if you have over 40,000 miles on it replace the drive belt as well wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.
