Answers :

GMC has an ongiong problem with the blower motor resistor, look under the dash on the passenger side and you will see the blower housing, unplug the wireing harness that feeds it and look at the plug carefully you will see that the third pin from the left has been over heated and is melted a little. the repair is quick and easy go to your local parts store and purchase a new resistor and a replacement wireing plug, you will have to cut the old plug off and splice the new one in, replace the resistor and your done. I would recomend that the wires be and spliced cut one at a time so as to insure that they are put in the right location.
Go on the passengers side and under the dash you will find the blower motor.Follow the connector to the blower motor resistor. This is the usual culprit.Check the connections over very carefully for burns or melting. You may need to replace the blower resistor and the connector.Hope this helps.Good luck.
