Hi by removing the cover on top of the engine you will see the spark plug wires pull out plug wires and unscrew plugs using a 5/8 socket remember to check the gap on the plug you can fined the gap clearance in the engine compartment good luck
No you do not need to change or replace a head gasket. changing plugs it very easy, Its not that hard, I recommend in the near future if you planning to work on your own vehicle is to go pick up a Haynes auto repair manuel at any auto part store pertaining to your vehicle and it will give you step by step with picture all the info's needed to do the job correctly. you going to need ratchet with deep socket or spark plugs socket set with long extension to remove the plugs. You going have to remove the engine cover to get to the plugs. if V6, its going to be a bit of pain more plugs, counter clock wise to remove and clock wise to tighten. Just don't toque the plug too tight, when replacing the plugs make sure you hand screw new plug using the wrench extension to hand tight the plug first so you don't mess up the thread of the engine head. If you need more advice while doing the job, don't be afraid to ask your neighbor, 99% they them self have change spark plugs at one time or another. good luck....hope that help some
