Having problems with your 2005 Hyundai Sonata ?

Driving at 110 kmh the car stalls for less than a second, the rpm drops (like a hicup) as if the key was turned off and immediately it goes back to normal. In the city it stops with all the console lights on that you would see before you turn the key to start. It would start right after.

Answers :

The engine in this car is electronically controlled by a computer called the "powertrain control module" when u have a condition like u have the computer will ID the system that has the fault and is causing the stall out and set a fault code in memory, in your case there are at least a dozen reasons that can cause this problem, just replacing parts is not wise as each is very expensive on this model and make, so you MUST have the electronic control system tested for fault codes and then the codes must be diagnosed to track down the failed system part(s), which in your case i am sure is a ignition system component, u can buy a cheap code reader for around $40 for this system, but without the repair manuals to do the diagnosis of what the codes indicate is a problem once again it would be expensive guess work, I strongly suggest you have a qualified electronic engine control technician take a look at this problem, i give this advice based on 35 years as a automotive electronics technician with a master certification in diagnostics and repair.
